Most of Western area consists of high mountains that continue from the north of Thailand. These are the origin of major rivers such as Kwai Noi, Kwai Yai River, Phetchaburi River, and Prachinburi River. The most famous tourists attraction are Cha-Am (Petchburi), Bridge over the River Kwai (Kanchanaburi), Hua-Hin (Prachuab Kiri Khan), etc.
