Chiang Rai
Chiang Rai is a land of mountain tops. Simple fact is that it is the northernmost province of Thailand, also an ancient city with incredibly long history since Chiang Saen period. Chiang Rai consists of population of many ethnicities such as Thai hill tribes, and lowland Hong Chinese immigrants who live on high mountain. Each race characteristics a unique culture and way of life. Without a doubt that the County has received the attention of tourists, both Thais and foreigners.
Recommended places are: Wat Phra Kaeo, Wat Phra Sing, Wat Klong Wiang, White Temple (Wat Rong Khun), Hilltribe Museum and Education Center, Doi Tung and etc.
Recommended activities are: Trekking tours to hill-tribes, Waterfall and Hot Springs, Rock Climbing, Golfing, Frisbee Golf Course and etc. |
